Magnetosphere Update - Saturday APRIL 21, 2012

The Japanese magnetosphere website has temporarily ceased updating since Monday April 2, 2012 to "develop more accurate and practical space environment models and will resume the real-time simulation in the near future" (http://swc.nict.go.jp/contents/rt_simulation_e.html)
Will post when it becomes available -Cave Editor (Saturday APRIL 21, 2012)

High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program(HAARP)

The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) is an ionospheric research program jointly funded by the US Air Force, the US Navy, the University of Alaska and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
Geomagnetic storminess is usually indicated in oscillatory variations in the earth's magnetic field. Additional detail concerning the nature and severity of the ionospheric disturbance can be found through analysis of the three components of the field. Data from a chain of magnetometers are also available.

A magnetosphere is formed when a stream of charged particles, such as the solar wind, interacts with and is deflected by the intrinsic magnetic field of a planet or similar body. Earth is surrounded by a magnetosphere, as are the other planets with intrinsic magnetic fields: Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn…

The Kiruna magnetogram provides realtime data of the local Earth magnetic field at ground level. Strong deviations in the data, primarily the black line could signal the development of geomagnetic activity. The curves on this plot show deflections from an average. The average is derived from the monthly means of the five most quiet days.

This most recent 6.1 magnitude earthquake is a sign that the Pacific 6.0M+ earthquake swarm is not yet over.
Overall , when looking at the past two weeks of large earthquakes...... it is indeed a large amount of movement to see occur around the Pacific ring of fire —- be aware and alert if you live anywhere around the ring of fire that is ABSENT large earthquakes over the past week, and also any of these current "swarm" spots, such as Sumatra, or Iran/Iraq border region.

Dutchsinse | 4/20/2012 -- Severe Weather = TX, LA, AR, MS, AL, FL -- Pacific storm forming

Today, this afternoon into evening (April 20, 2012) we see south Texas (near Houston) having hail / damaging winds / strong cell thunderstorms ---- heading east northeast --- towards Central Louisiana , extending north into Arkansas.
Eventually.. the rest of Arkansas, central Mississippi, and North Alabama might see this hail / damaging wind reach across the current storm watch zone.
After sunset, we shall see if the storms fully die out, or carry northeast.
Also in South / Central Florida .. west of Orlando.. Northeast of Tampa... extending south through the central part of the state into the everglades.
Out west -- far west coast extending out into the Pacific Ocean (near hawaii) ... a new low pressure system has moved in.. eventually will pass over the west coast .. California, Oregon , Washington State. Most likely this next storm will be our large weather producer in the Midwest USA.

4/16/2012 -- Midwest storms developing KS CO OK -- also TX, LA, MS, AL, FL, GA, SC, NC, VA

South USA -- Texas (south texas ).. moving northeast from Brownsville .. south of Houston out to sea... will come back ashore at some point NE of Houston.. most likely a bit west of New Orleans..... Then will be moving NE through Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South/North Carolina , and possibly the panhandle north portion of Florida.
Central USA -- midwest -- Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma border region .. damaging winds, strong cell thunderstorms popping up.. moving ENE from that tri-state border region in SW Kansas/SE Colorado/NW Oklahoma.
West Coast USA -- strong cell thunderstorms are coming ashore with the next low pressure system (our next big weather maker).

The returning region off the northeast limb looks to be providing us with some Solar Fireworks. A massive eruption that registered as an M1.7 event, peaked at 17:45 UTC on Monday afternoon. This will most likely launch a blob of plasma into space. Due to the location of this event, the cloud will probably be directed away from Earth.

Damaging winds, large hail, and possible tornadoes ARE STILL DEVELOPING in the South, midwest, and mid-atlantic states .... and soon to be breaking out tomorrow/today in the Southeast ...
Watch Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, West Virgina, and north Florida.
Out west.. next storm is coming ashore in Washington State, and Oregon.
Midway point, we see light snow in Colorado , New Mexico, Wyoming, Nebraska heading southeast towards Texas.... therefore also watch Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas for additional *possible* weather to develop.

Dutchsinse | 4/15/2012 -- Severe UPDATE = 24 states -- Midwest , South, North, Southwest, West Coast

Full website post with screenshots of current RADAR plus the links you can use to monitor this ongoing outbreak:

Current states effected and that will be impacted in some way by this system over the next several hours from now 730pm CDT 4/15/2012 are listed below : The current large storm is pressing ENE towards the great lakes...
The back end of the storm is pulling down cold air / strong cell thunderstorms / damaging winds and SNOW into Texas, New Mexico --- I don't know if the NEXT LINE of storms being pulled down from the pacific northwest (currently over colorado ) will produce additional severe weather, or if it will spin up ITSELF into a new small low pressure system.
Also, on the west coast.. Washington State, Oregon .. .another storm is peeling off the very large low pressure system parked out off the coast of Alaska... I think we will see this NEXT line of storms in a few days when this west coast system finally comes ashore. Possibly a repeat situation next week at some point.
Watch these states :
Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigian, South Dakota, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama , and Possibly Kansas, Nebraska again.... Also out west... California, Oregon, Idaho --- the next storm will be coming ashore soon.

Another day -- and this severe weather system seem to be INCHING along at a very slow pace.
Yesterday into today (14th into the 15th) was a truly amazing event to see unfold.. at the same time VERY TRAGIC.
Have severe weather plans ready to go at a moments notice ... make sure YOU and your loved ones know the plan well.. Shelter, communications, transportation, food, water, clothing.... all essentials after ANY disaster.
