El Salvador's gold fight goes international - After activists block their permit, Canadian company uses US trade agreement to sue Salvadoran gov't
Five representatives of five organizations in El Salvador that form part of the National Coalition Against Mining, known as La Mesa, were in Washington, DC last month to accept the Letelier-Moffitt International Human Rights Award. The recognition comes at an interesting time as the group's successes in blocking mining exploitation in their small country, have brought about a unique legal situation. Namely, a Canadian mining company is suing the government of El Salvador for $100 million, through a U.S. subsidiary under the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA). The Real News followed the group of activists around Washington, DC, and interviewed the CEO and President of the company behind the suit, Pacific Rim. Produced by Jesse Freeston.

But think about this for a minute: The bailout was not a big pile of unused cash sitting around waiting to be spent. It was new money that came from bond sales, which added to the national debt. Now, the White House is thinking about using some of that money to pay down the debt -- that it created!
Or, here's another analogy: using one credit card to pay off another. FULL STORY
Forbes.com | Will China Eat Our Lunch?
As President Barack Obama prepared for his first presidential visit to Asia, he was publicly hectored by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao to ensure that the U.S. will "effectively discharge its responsibilities," which means, he says, "We hope the U.S. will keep its deficit at an appropriate size so that there will be basic stability in the exchange rate and that is conducive to the stability and recovery of the world economy."
Get that. China is publicly chastising the U.S. for its fiscal irresponsibility. You know what, China has a right to complain; it is the single largest creditor nation to the U.S. government, holding $797 billion--nearly a quarter--of the total $3.45 trillion owed by Uncle Sam. Thanks to the decline in the value of the U.S. dollar, the Chinese have watched the value of their investment in U.S. debt drop by $128 billion in the past year.
DailyFinance.com | A George W. Bush fundraiser is now embroiled in an alleged $1 billion scam
But that's old news. Bloomberg News reports that Rothstein is a lawyer who persuaded investors to give him $1 billion, in exchange for which they allegedly got a chance to earn a share of what Rothstein promised would be big legal settlements just a few months after those investors' checks cleared. Apparently, it was a yet another Ponzi scheme -- the legal settlements didn't exist. Federal authorities have sued Rothstein, but he hasn't yet been charged with any crime...............

SteveQuayle.com | NEWS ALERT - Chinese Lien on US Treasury?
STEVE Q. NOTE: Confirmed through Asian sources this morning – the largest gold trader in the world, but understand I can not confirm all items in this story. The ramifications are overwhelming. Keep your eyes open.
November 13, 2009
Steve,
submitted by RD
I found news on link of Chinese parties were signing papers, to execute their LIEN on the US Treasury. As one of the key aggrieved Beneficiary Owners of the loaned 10,000 tonnes of gold *500,000 mt of au not 10,000 mt when gold was USD$45.00 an oz.*
*now USD$1,200 an oz. + interest at 7 and7/8% per year compounding *
* WOW now you see, right?*yes ,...big yes..
MY SOURCE---Our comments between he and I was that this war was set to break eventually...i mean you see that someone is owed something when it was cheap and now they are owed something when it's a kings' ransome, so what would you do? go to court? most likely...
we need someone in the washington pool..on this..
it's quite covert and very touchy
So yes. yes yes
it's the only fire stick the good guys with the white hats have left.
They have no choice now, given that they acted in good faith; whereas, as usual, the US 'Shadow Government' consisting of Fraudulent Finance cadres functioning as though they are bona fide US officials, appointees and legislators, have gone too far, as previously explained.
(2): We understand that a total of 163 prominent individuals, many from Congress, plus George Bush 41, William Clinton 42 and George Bush 43, plus THREE current and former US Supreme Court Justices, will be arrested on the basis of arrest warrants in the light of the continued sabotage and the deadline for the Chinese to implement their LIEN on the US Treasury.
Our sources initially indicated that 'exposure and lockup orders going all the way to Bush 41' were extant on 10th November. Separate sources stated to us that these arrests were associated with World Court instructions and warrants which were put into process with effect from the sabotage operation on Tuesday 10th November becoming known.
It STANDS TO REASON that this state of affairs represents a massive threat to US national security which has been brought about exclusively by the feckless refusal of the US authorities to do what should have been done in 2007, but was aborted because the Bush dynasty was still in power - and by the lust of various components of the structures for 'the money', representing corruption on a gargantuan scale arising from George Bush Sr.'s insidious technique of enticing collaboration through the mirage or promise of great riches. That has been the technique used throughout, and its absolute decadence and foul origination is now unveiled for even the most blind observers to see (unless they belong to the 'mainstream' media which, like King Zechariah, have had their eyes put out by Nebuchadnezzar and have been transported to Babylon).
We further understand that about 1,600 people around the world will be at the receiving end of arrest warrants and seizure on sight following the generation of these warrants by the World Court in the foregoing context. The aggrieved parties remain unchanged, and are headed by the Chinese authorities and Elders, and the British Monarchical Power.

Calling All Freedomists
Human nature and history teach us that political labels are used to influence society to accomplish a certain political end. Many times, words used to describe original principles are somehow conquered or hijacked and then proclaimed to be a part of those original principles, but are realistically far from them. As I was growing up, I remember thinking this: “‘liberal’ equals bad and ‘conservative’ equals good.” “Conservative” was proposed to be a word purely describing the principles believed and proclaimed by America’s founding fathers. “Liberal” was proposed to........

MyNews.IN | China gave uranium to Pakistan for two nuclear-bombs
November 13, 2009 - Washington: In a disclosure likely to embarrass Beijing on the eve of President Barack Obama's visit, a leading US daily Friday reported that China gifted 50 kg of uranium to Pakistan with a do-it-yourself kit to make two atomic bombs in 1982.
The uranium transfer was part of a broad-ranging, secret nuclear deal approved years earlier by Mao Zedong and Pakistan Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, according to the accounts by Khan, the father of Pakistan's nuclear weapons programme, who is under house arrest in Pakistan, the daily said.
Market Oracle | Gld ETF Warning, Tungsten Filled Fake Gold Bars
“Gold Finger - A New Take On Operation Grand Slam With A Tungsten Twist”
I’ve already reported on irregular physical gold settlements which occurred in London, England back in the first week of October, 2009. Specifically, these settlements involved the intermediation of at least one Central Bank [The Bank of England] to resolve allocated settlements on behalf of J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank – who DID NOT have the gold bullion that they had sold short and were contracted to deliver. At the same time I reported on two other unusual occurrences:
1] - irregularities in the publication of the gold ETF - GLD’s bar list from Sept. 25 – Oct.14 where the length of the bar list went from 1,381 pages to under 200 pages and then back up to 800 or so pages.
2] - reports of 400 oz. “good delivery” bricks of gold found gutted and filled with tungsten within the confines of LBMA approved vaults in Hong Kong.
Why Tungsten?
If anyone were contemplating creating “fake” gold bars, tungsten [at roughly $10 per pound] would be the metal of choice since it has the exact same density as gold making a fake bar salted with tungsten indistinguishable from a solid gold bar by simply weighing it.
Unfortunately, there are now more sordid details to report.
When the news of tungsten “salted” gold bars in Hong Kong first surfaced, many people
who I am acquainted with automatically assumed that these bars were manufactured in
China – because China is generally viewed as “the knock-off capital of the world”.
Here’s what I now understand really happened:
The amount of “salted tungsten” gold bars in question was allegedly between 5,600 and 5,700 – 400 oz – good delivery bars [roughly 60 metric tonnes].
This was apparently all highly orchestrated by an extremely well financed criminal operation.
Within mere hours of this scam being identified – Chinese officials had many of the perpetrators in custody.
And here’s what the Chinese allegedly uncovered:
Roughly 15 years ago – during the Clinton Administration [think Robert Rubin, Sir Alan Greenspan and Lawrence Summers] – between 1.3 and 1.5 million 400 oz tungsten blanks were allegedly manufactured by a very high-end, sophisticated refiner in the USA [more than 16 Thousand metric tonnes]. Subsequently, 640,000 of these tungsten blanks received their gold plating and WERE shipped to Ft. Knox and remain there to this day. I know folks who have copies of the original shipping docs with dates and exact weights of “tungsten” bars shipped to Ft. Knox.

In what could prove to be one of the biggest counterterrorism seizures in U.S. history, prosecutors filed a civil complaint in federal court against the Alavi Foundation, seeking the forfeiture of more than $500 million in assets. Susan Burke, one of the lawyers bringing the suits, said they have been filed over the past year, 18 of them in recent days. One lawsuit filed in federal court in Nashville, Tennessee charged that they "ignored their contractual obligations and burned vast quantities of unsorted waste in enormous open air burn pits with no safety controls. This misconduct began in 2003 and continues unabated [thanks, Obusha!] to date," it alleges. "Every type of waste imaginable was and is burned on these pits, including trucks, tires, lithium battery, Styrofoam, paper, rubber, petroleum-oil-lubricant products, metals, hydraulic fluids, munitions boxes, medical waste, biohazard materials (including human corpses), medical supplies (including those used during smallpox inoculations), paints, solvents, asbestos insulation, items containing pesticides, polyvinyl chloride pipes, animal carcasses, dangerous chemicals and hundreds of thousands of plastic water bottles," the lawsuit claims.
