Magnetosphere Update - Tuesday APRIL 10, 2012
The Japanese magnetosphere website has temporarily ceased updating since Monday April 2, 2012 to "develop more accurate and practical space environment models and will resume the real-time simulation in the near future" (http://swc.nict.go.jp/contents/rt_simulation_e.html)

If you live in central to south Texas -- the national weather service has issued Tornado WARNINGS (not just watches) .. be alert and prepared to take cover --- also with these storms.. large hail and damaging winds.

The far north, and far south USA today -- Possible tornadoes , damaging winds, and large hail detected in South Dakota, North Dakota, heading north east towards North Minnesota and South Canada (winnepeg to regina area).

A pair of Coronal Mass Ejections are now visible in the latest STEREO Ahead COR2 images. The source of the first CME was located on the farside of the Sun. The second plasma cloud was the result of a filament liftoff near Sunspot 1450. Video is below:

Its about 230am CDT on 4/5/2012 -- and now we see NEW tornado alerts, warnings, and watches issued for Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas. A lot of people are asleep right now.. This is why having a severe weather plan (AND KNOWING IT WELL) is a good idea.. you may be awoke in the middle of the night with a natural disaster on your doorstep, and have NO IDEA a tornado warning has been issued for your area.
Damaging winds can appear at a MOMENTS NOTICE .. or without ANY notice sometimes... which is why you should practice your severe weather plan, have the supplies you'll need ready and stowed away.. make sure any children or elderly know the plan, if you have animals... think of them too !
