New video released by SDO/AIA showing an eruption this morning around Region 1608 and prominence activity off the southeast limb. The eruption is the most likely source of this morning's CME.

Updated movie by STEREO Ahead COR2 showing a CME plasma cloud leaving the Sun. A portion of the cloud does look to be Earth directed. More data will be needed to make this determination.

A CME Plasma Cloud left the Sun this morning and may deliver a glancing blow impact early next week. A majority of the cloud looks to be heading to the west and away from Earth. More images will be needed to make a better determination. The attached video is by STEREO Ahead COR2.

What appears to be a large and potentially Earth directed CME is visible in the latest STEREO Ahead and Behind imagery. There is a gap in between the current available images and the time of the long duration C3 eruption. Attached is a new image by STEREO Ahead COR 2 showing the plasma cloud and direction towards our planet.

Solar activity is fairly low with only C-Class flare activity detected around departing Sunspot 1560 now located on the western limb. All other visible sunspot regions are currently stable.
A bright Coronal Mass Ejection is visible in the latest Lasco C2 images on Saturday morning. The source of the plasma cloud appears to have been an eruption around Sunspot 1553.This region is currently transiting the farside of the Sun. Images below by Lasco C2 and STEREO Ahead. So far it does not appear to be Earth directed.
As you can see in this inverted STEREO Ahead COR2 image, the Coronal Mass Ejection was full-halo and aimed directly towards the STEREO Ahead spacecraft.

A moderate to strong solar flare took place earlier this afternoon off the farside of the Sun. A bright Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) is now visible in STEREO Ahead COR2 images. The source appears to be old Sunspot 1538. The flare itself was captured by STEREO Behind in the image below.

An eruption registering as a long duration C-Class flare is currently in progress in the southeast quadrant. A Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) is now visible in the latest Lasco C2 images. The plasma cloud looks to be directed mostly towards the east.
The Sun is peppered with small to mid sized sunspots on Saturday, however most remain stable. There will remain the chance for an isolated M-Class solar flare this weekend.

Coronal Mass Ejection Part II and III
A pair of explosions can be viewed in the latest STEREO Behind COR2 images. The latest events was most likely the result of a prominence / filament eruption. This first blast appears to be headed north and is not Earth directed. The second event may be Earth directed, however more images will be needed to confirm this.

A Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) is seen in the latest STEREO Ahead COR2 images on Thursday morning, and the source appears to be a filament channel eruption near region 1419 in the northwest quadrant. The blast site is circled below in the STEREO Ahead image. After a close look, the expanding cloud appears to be directed mostly to the west, however more data will be needed to determine if there will be an earthward component.

A long duration C7.3 Solar Flare took place around Sunspot 1302 at 09:23 UTC Tuesday morning. This region is now rotating onto the western limb and any explosions at this point will not be earth directed.
An aurora watch will be in effect within the next 24-48 hours due to the expected arrival of a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) caused by a long duration M1.2 solar flare around Sunspot 1305 on Saturday morning. Minor geomagnetic storming may be possible at high latitudes.
Two new sunspots formed on Monday in the southern hemisphere, and one of them was numbered 1310. At the same time, another sunspot rotated into view on the northeast limb. Sunspot 1308 has faded away.

SOLAR ACTIVITY: Old sunspot 1045 still has some life left in it. On March 1st, beginning at 2245 UT, magnetic fields around the much-decayed active region erupted for more than three hours. STEREO-B had an excellent view of the blast, shown here in a snapshot through the spacecraft's extreme ultraviolet telescope:

The eruption hurled a billion-ton CME away from the sun (image above), but not toward Earth. The blast site is located on the sun's eastern limb where it faces away from our planet. This marks the fourth time in the past two days that a CME has billowed away from the sun without heading in our direction. Earth keeps dodging the bullet.
