Climate change/global warming activists aren’t in search of truth
I really think people should be discreet … in this day and age anything you write, even privately, could become public and to put anything down in writing is, to say the least, indiscreet … It is another matter to talk about this to your friends on the telephone or person to person but to put it down in writing was indiscreet. If someone was to say something like this in an IPCC authors’ meeting then there are others who would chew him up.

So, the problem is that the scientists who rigged numbers and considered destroying evidence sought in a Freedom of Information request weren’t “discreet”.

Every single comment that an expert reviewer provides has to be answered either by acceptance of the comment, or if it is not accepted, the reasons have to be clearly specified. So I think it is a very transparent, a very comprehensive process which insures that even if someone wants to leave out a piece of peer reviewed literature there is virtually no possibility of that happening.
Now I’m no climate scientist, but how can you have “peer reviewed” anything if you have nothing to review…?
Scientists at the University of East Anglia (UEA) have admitted throwing away much of the raw temperature data on which their predictions of global warming are based.
It means that other academics are not able to check basic calculations said to show a long-term rise in temperature over the past 150 years.
I really hope the next Republican congress, senate, and president votes to de-fund the United Nations’ residency here in America so we can kick these lying, diplomatically-immune weasels out of our country, once and for all.

Reuters | U.N. Secretary-General will lobby US Congressional leaders and government officials Tues over next month's Copenhagen summit
The world body wants to clinch a deal at Copenhagen to set new greenhouse gas emissions goals but hopes are fading that a legally binding treaty among all U.N. members can be finalized at the Dec. 7-18 U.N. summit in the Danish capital.
Delays in passage of a U.S. climate bill are one of the factors being blamed. A draft cleared a key U.S. Senate panel last Thursday but the legislation is not expected to go through the full Senate before Copenhagen.
Ban's climate adviser Janos Pasztor said the secretary-general would talk to senators and White House staff.
"He will discuss how governments around the world are approaching the climate negotiations and what these governments expect in terms of the role of the United States," Pasztor told reporters.
Although top U.N. climate officials have said a final deal may have to be negotiated in post-Copenhagen talks that could go on for a year, Ban has continued to say he expects the summit to be a success.
"The continuing and extraordinary engagement by world leaders on the climate change issue suggests that a deal will emerge in Copenhagen that will form the basis of a treaty," Pasztor said.
"It's not a question of whether or not we're going to have a deal, it's question of how we're going to make sure that we get a good deal in Copenhagen. And the secretary-general is convinced that it is possible and therefore it will happen."

US Census And GPS Mapping Was The Implementation Of A United Nation's Plan

Census & GPS mapping-Big Brother at your door -- A great deal of speculation has taken place about the small army of census takers that has been reported GPS mapping individual buildings and residences across the country. A recently discovered UN document reveals the reasons behind this development.

It turns out that GPS surveying is not limited to the US alone. UN document ESA/STAT/AC.98/14 (http://www.markswatson.com/globgpsun.pdf) details plans for a global implementation of a GIS (Geographical Information System) using census and other personal data; remote sensing, including aerial and satellite photography; and internet mapping "to create relevant information for spatial analysis and decision making." Development data, such as economic or HEALTH DATA (the efficacy of a nationalized health care system containing current addresses becomes apparent in this context) are to be included within an administrative framework designed to be "flexible enough and well structured to incorporate new and future administrative divisions."
Although the document purports to present GPS mapping, remote sensing, integrated field data collection, etc., merely as tools to conduct a successful census, the clear implication is that such census data collection techniques are actually tools by which an advanced and highly accurate form of individual population mapping is being accomplished on a worldwide scale. Census taking is envisioned to become a continuous process rather than a deca-annual event: "Therefore, we advocate a paradigm shift from a traditional mapping approach, which is repeated for every census, to a digital census mapping approach, which is an up-to-date and a continuous approach. "
When this program data base is fully implemented, it should have the potential capability of plotting up-to-date locations of every individual and business in the world, with links to existing and future data bases containing financial, health, criminal, internet useage, and other personal information.
The United Nations Statistics Division has so far provided free software (ArcView 3.3 ) to the National Statistical Offices (NSOs) of at least forty developing countries in order to implement this program. The UN document recommends a Permanent "Cartography & Geographic Information" Unit be established within each countries' NSO, as well as a working "group of experts," and an international conference to bring developing nations up to date with this technology.
It is still painfully obvious that the military application for GPS tagging is for precision weapon strikes to said coordinates.

AP | 50 UN peacekeepers punished for sex abuses
The United Nations says at least 50 peacekeepers have been punished by national authorities over the last three years for committing sexual abuses on UN missions.
The UN says the punishments ranged from reduction in military rank to eight months imprisonment.
The data released on Thursday comes after repeated requests from media organisations for information on the punishments governments are meting out to peacekeepers accused of rape and other abuses in conflict areas such as Congo.
The global body didn't make public any identities or nationalities.
The data showed a significant increase in prosecutions in 2009.
But the figures also showed that many UN requests for action have gone unheeded by the governments who contribute peacekeepers to missions.

Bill Means, a native of the Pine Ridge reservation who serves on the International Indian Treaty Council, said, "We hope that the inspector's visit will expose the atrocious conditions on the reservation that the U.S. allows to happen. The reason for asking the U.N. to help is that we can't get that type of attention in Washington ... We are looking for policy change. Real change. Not just more promises."Tribal members testified that severe overcrowding marks living conditions on the reservation. With an unemployment rate of 80 percent it is difficult for residents to maintain housing. Among the problems are inadequate repairs and mold that is hazardous to health.
A report prepared by the Oglala Sioux Lakota Housing Authority states that “housing built and indirectly maintained by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is in a deplorable state. The Lakota Nation, among other Indian nations, is a party to treaties with the United States, signed in the mid and late 1800s. Among the United States treaty obligations is the provision of subsistence and housing.”
“We are a sovereign nation built on treaties that the U.S. doesn’t honor,” said Myron Pourier, a tribal council member. “We don’t have the necessities people take for granted. They have nice homes that have running water, bathrooms and a kitchen.
Sixty percent of the housing on the reservation has three to four families living in a single house, including children and extended family members. We are severely underfunded.”
Willie stressed that the housing problems facing Indian nations are much more complicated than those of other populations in the United States. “It is estimated that 200,000 housing units are needed in Indian country. Currently 90,000 Native American families are homeless or under-housed. The president’s budget for housing block grants is $646 million, but $854 million is needed just to meet the backlog.”

Report Demands Repeal of Counter-Terrorism Laws to Promote ‘Gender Equality.’ ” This is yet another product of the same UN Human Rights Council which in April brought us the Durban Review Conference in Geneva (with Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as a star speaker) and recently adopted the Goldstone Report on conflict between Israelis and Hamas in Gaza (with a Human Rights Council resolution slamming Israel and excusing the terrorists of Hamas).
The author of this UN report, Finnish law professor Martin Scheinin, wants counter-terrorism policies replaced with gender-equality policies at all costs, such as loosening terror-financing restrictions to help organizations that promote gender equality. In Afghanistan, he wants an end to force and a new policy responsive to the concerns of “women, gay, bisexual, transsexual and intersex individuals in local contexts.”
With the UN at the center of U.S. foreign policy, we may never defeat Al Qaeda, but we can go forwad with confidence that every effort is being made to ensure the ranks of terrorists worldwide include not only women, but a full complement of every gender permutation dreamt of in Martin Scheinen’s counter-terrorism philosophy. AFP | UN calls for new reserve currency
ISTANBUL (AFP) - The United Nations called on Tuesday for a new global reserve currency to end dollar supremacy which has allowed the United States the "privilege" of building a huge trade deficit.
"Important progress in managing imbalances can be made by reducing the reserve currency country?s 'privilege' to run external deficits in order to provide international liquidity," UN undersecretary-general for economic and social affairs, Sha Zukang, said.
Speaking at the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank in Istanbul, he said: "It is timely to emphasise that such a system also creates a more equitable method of sharing the seigniorage derived from providing global liquidity."
He said: "Greater use of a truly global reserve currency, such as the IMF?s special drawing rights (SDRs), enables the seigniorage gained to be deployed for development purposes," he said.
The SDRs are the asset used in IMF transactions and are based on a basket of four currencies -- the dollar, euro, yen and pound -- which is calculated daily.
China had called in March for a new dominant world reserve currency instead of the dollar, in a system within the framework of the Washington-based IMF.

The Federal government, influenced by the United Nations, is stealing American land and resources as Agenda 21 Sustainable Development is implemented in all states. Sustainable Development seems appealing and desirable on the surface, but it is actually a plot to erase humans entirely from 50% of American land, with a ban on extraction of resources, like water!
An example of this is playing out right now in California, regarding the man made drought. This situation affects every American, as California’s Central Valley supplies our country with 50% of its vegetable, fruits and nuts ( http://www.cdfa.ca.gov/, see the California Agricultural Statistical Review report). The federal Endangered Species Act, regarding the ‘threatened’ smelt minnow, is being used to severly restrict the water pump that delivers water from the Delta to the Central Valley farmlands, thus creating the drought condition. Both the federal Department of Interior and the federal Department of Commerce are claiming jurisdiction in order to control water resources.

Gadhafi barred from erecting Bedouin tent in US
Qaddafi's tent-erection stopped by the US officials.The Libyan leader whose country assumed the rotating presidency of the General Assembly last week is due to address the UN body on Wednesday.
Gadhafi had to stay in the Libyan diplomatic mission last night in Manhattan following the stop work order issued by the authorities banning him from erecting a Bedouin-style tent on a property the Libyans had rented from Donald Trump in suburban New York.
The Bedford's attorney said on Tuesday that Gadhafi's tent violated town zoning and land laws.
"I discussed this matter with town officials, and the town building inspector believes that this would constitute a violation of several town zoning and land use laws," Bedford town attorney Joel Sachs said, according to CNN.
"I directed the town building inspector to immediately go to the property and issue a stop work order, which would the individuals to cease erecting the tent."
After being rejected by New York City's Central Park and by the town of Englewood, N.J., the Libyans posed as Dutch diplomats to rent a Manhattan townhouse that had a large roof that could have accommodated a tent.
The US State Department officials maintained that there are no limitations on the Libyan leader's visa that would bar him from traveling to the neighborhood.
They said their understanding was that Gadhafi was not staying at the tent, but was receiving people there.
Relations between the US and Libya were strained after the release of the terminally-ill AbdelBaset al-Megrahi, a Libyan who was convicted of being behind the Lockerbie bombing.
Upon his arrival in Libya, al-Megrahi received a heros welcome by Gadhafi, a move that further angered Washington.

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) was established in 1964 as a permanent intergovernmental body. It is the principal organ of the United Nations General Assembly dealing with trade, investment, and development issues.
The organization's goals are to "maximize the trade, investment and development opportunities of developing countries and assist them in their efforts to integrate into the world economy on an equitable basis." The creation of the conference was based on concerns of developing countries over the international market, multi-national corporations, and great disparity between developed nations and developing nations.
In the 1970s and 1980s, UNCTAD was closely associated with the idea of a New International Economic Order (NIEO).
Currently, UNCTAD has 193 member States and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. UNCTAD has 400 staff members and an annual regular budget of approximately US$50 million and US$25 million of extrabudgetary technical assistance funds.

Professor Stiglitz chairs the UN Commission of Experts on Reforms of the I.M.F. - often referred to as the Stiglitz Commission. Here are some of his comments, in his own words:

"The United Nations is the only international institution with the legitimacy to oversee this global reform .... We’ve now created a global economy but we haven’t created the institutions to make that economy work,” Professor Stiglitz said. “The global economic coordinating council would highlight those missing elements, make proposals for how to deal with them and hopefully move the agenda forward.”
The Professor also discussed the panel’s recommendation to move away from the current global reserve system. Noting that the current system based on the US dollar has collapsed, he stated that it is not a question of if we move to a new global reserve system, but rather if we do it in an orderly fashion.
“There’s a lot of expertise all over the world,” Professor Stiglitz said. “If there was the political resolve, I think it can be done overnight.”
In the week since that speech, the IMF has already taken steps to bolster member nations' reserves with their S.D.R's -- that coveted new U.N. currency that Russia and China have been wanting the world to switch over to.
