Solar activity is currently low with C-Class flares detected around both Sunspot 1575 and a new region located in the northeast quadrant. Region 1573 located in the northwest quadrant which was previously spotless, is now growing again. An active region on the farside of the Sun that produced a strong solar flare last week and was responsible for several Coronal Mass Ejections, will begin to rotate into view within the next 48 hours. This probable sunspot has been quiet the past couple of days and may be in a state of decay. There will be a chance for C-Class solar flares today.

Updated image of the visible solar disk on Monday morning. A new sunspot did rotate into view off the southeast limb. Another sunspot looks to be forming to the north of Sunspot 1577 this morning. The Solar X-Ray background levels are currently near the C1 threshold. There will be a chance for C-Class solar flares and low threat for an isolated M-Class event.

A new sunspot in formation located to the east of 1575 continues to expand on Saturday afternoon. This new region should be numbered 1577 today. So far it does not pose a threat for strong solar flares, however continue to watch this area for potential growth.

Solar activity is currently at low levels. New Sunspot 1575 was numbered on Tuesday after it rotated into view off the eastern limb. Old Sunspot 1553 rotated back into view off the southeast limb on Wednesday and should be renumbered 1576 on Wednesday. Both regions are currently stable. There will remain a chance for C-Class solar flares.

Solar activity is currently low on Monday morning. A small C1.5 flare was just detected off the southeast limb at 11:46 UTC. All visible sunspots currently remain fairly stable.

Solar activity is once again at low levels with only C-Class activity detected within the past 24 hours. Active Sunspot 1560 is now rotating onto the western limb and will soon be out of direct Earth view. Sunspot 1564 remains a fairly large Sunspot in terms of total area, however it did lose its Beta-Gamma magnetic classification. There will remain a chance for an isolated M-Class event on Friday.

Solar activity continues at very low levels with only B-Class flares detected within the past 24 hours around both Sunspot 1555 and a returning region off the southeast limb. The returning region appears to be old sunspot 1545 and will soon begin to rotate back into Earth view.

Here is a new SDO/AIA 171 image showing a bright area located off the southeast limb. This appears to be old Sunspot 1545. This region does not look to be very active at this time. No Coronal Mass Ejections off the limb have been detected within the past 48 hours.

Solar activity continues at very low levels. All sunspots, including new region 1555 are currently stable. There will be a chance for C-Class flares on Sunday.

Solar activity is currently very low, with the exception of a couple of C-Class flares around Sunspot 1543 in the northern hemisphere. Regions 1542 and 1543 are the only visible spots remaining on the Earth facing side of the Sun. All other regions have decayed to spotless plagues.

There are nine (9) active Solar Regions at this time and 14 C-Class Solar Flares over the last two days.  Solar Region 11542 has produced 6 of these C-Class Flares.

Two new sunspots are now visible after each rotated off the eastern limb and onto the visible solar disk. The first region located in the southeast quadrant was numbered 1542 on Monday. The second region located in the northeast quadrant should be numbered 1543 on Tuesday. Both are currently producing C-Class solar flares.

Solar activity is currently low with only low level C-Class flares detected within the past 24 hours. There will continue to be a chance for an isolated M-Class event, particularly around Sunspots 1542 and 1543 (tentative).
