Solar activity has been moderate with three M-Class solar flares, each around Sunspot 1613 located in the southeast quadrant. The largest of these flares was an impulsive M6.0 event at 02:04 UTC. The solar X-Rays have settled down somewhat over the past several hours with only C-Class activity detected. At least two minor Coronal Mass Ejections are visible in Lasco C2 imagery, but each appear to be directed to the south and east and not towards Earth. There will remain a chance for M-Class solar flares, particularly around Sunspots 1613 and 1614.

Solar activity remains fairly low with the largest flare being a C4.6 detected around Sunspot 1589 @ 08:04 UTC this morning. Sunspot 1589 is a large sunspot cluster which could possibly produce an isolated M-Class event within the next 24 hours. Regions 1587 and 1588 both rotated onto the western limb and out of direct Earth view.

Solar activity remains at very low levels heading into the weekend. Sunspot 1579 is about to rotate onto the western limb and out of direct Earth view. Previously active regions 1569 and 1574 are about to rotate back into view off the eastern limb. There is currently a chance for C-Class flares.

Solar activity is now at low levels as Sunspots 1575 and 1583 rotated off the visible solar disk. A small new sunspot did rotate into view off the southeast limb late on Monday evening. A couple of small new sunspots are forming within region 1582 on Tuesday. There will remain a chance for C-Class solar flares and a lower risk of an isolated M-Class event.

Updated image of the visible solar disk. Solar activity is low on Saturday morning. The Solar X-Ray background levels are currently at or near the C1 threshold. There will remain the chance for C-Class solar flares and a lower threat of an isolated M-Class event. A Geomagnetic Storm watch will be in effect over the next 48 hours due to an expected incoming Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) impact.

The previously active former Sunspot 1564 rotated back into view off the southeast limb and appears to be an Alpha magnetic sunspot region. A better look will be available later today. The solar X-Rays indicate low level C-Class activity this morning, so things are fairly quiet. There is currently a low chance for an isolated M-Class solar flare.

Solar activity is currently low with only C-Class solar flares detected within the past 24 hours. Sunspot 1574 now appears to be growing as it approaches the southwest limb. Sunspot 1575 remains the largest visible region on the Earth facing side of the Sun, but is not magnetically complex. Expect solar activity to continue at low levels on Thursday with a slight chance for an isolated M-Class solar flare.

Solar activity is currently low with only minor C-Class flares detected within the past 24 hours. A fair sized sunspot rotated into view off the eastern limb on Tuesday morning. Another region rotating into view in the southeast quadrant, is old sunspot 1553. At this time it looks to be a spotless plage. There will remain the possibility of C-Class solar flares and perhaps a small chance for an isolated M-Class event.

Solar activity is increasing due to multiple C-Class solar flares detected off the eastern limb. Sunspot growth is also being observed around Sunspots 1553, 1554 and 1560. 

An active Sunspot is now rotating into view off the eastern limb. A solar flare reaching C7.6 was detected at 09:12 UTC this morning and SDO captured the small flare in the attached image below.

Solar activity is again at very low levels on Tuesday morning. New regions 1556, 1557 and 1558 were numbered on Monday. Sunspot 1556 rotated onto the western limb and 1557 has already faded away. All other visible regions remain stable. There will be a chance for isolated C-Class flares.

Solar activity is low heading into Saturday with only a low level C-Class flare detected within the past 24 hours. A new sunspot did rotate into view off the eastern limb, however it does appear to be stable. There will continue to be a chance for C-Class flares.

The solar wind is currently at elevated levels and minor geomagnetic activity at very high latitudes will be possible.

Solar activity was high with the X-Class solar flare around Sunspot 1402 on Friday afternoon. Solar activity is now expected to be very low as 1402 rotated onto the western limb and is now out of direct Earth view. All remaining current visible regions are magnetically simple and remain stable.

The S2 Level Radiation Storm generated by yesterdays solar flare continues on Saturday, but is expected to slowly decrease during the day today.
