Magnetosphere Update - Friday APRIL 27, 2012

The Japanese magnetosphere website has temporarily ceased updating since Monday April 2, 2012 to "develop more accurate and practical space environment models and will resume the real-time simulation in the near future" (http://swc.nict.go.jp/contents/rt_simulation_e.html)

The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) is an ionospheric research program jointly funded by the US Air Force, the US Navy, the University of Alaska and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
Geomagnetic storminess is usually indicated in oscillatory variations in the earth's magnetic field. Additional detail concerning the nature and severity of the ionospheric disturbance can be found through analysis of the three components of the field. Data from a chain of magnetometers are also available.

A magnetosphere is formed when a stream of charged particles, such as the solar wind, interacts with and is deflected by the intrinsic magnetic field of a planet or similar body. The Kiruna magnetogram provides realtime data of the local Earth magnetic field at ground level. Strong deviations in the data, primarily the black line could signal the development of geomagnetic activity. The curves on this plot show deflections from an average. The average is derived from the monthly means of the five most quiet days.

Dutchsinse | 4/25/2012 -- Radiation Test - St. Louis, MO - 54.4 CPM and 54.5CPM

I have assembled radiation links from around the world to use here, plus two good charts to show exposure level limits:
http://sincedutch.wordpress.com/2012/04/26/4252012-radiation-monitoring-links/
This measurement was made on April 25, 2012 at approx. 530pm CDT. It indicates "midrange levels" of radiation.
The Radiation Network Alert level is considered anything over 100CPM. [1000 counts/Clicks during a 10 min. measurement] .
The overall radiation measurement, taken over the course of 10 minutes was 544 counts/clicks and 545 counts/clicks = 54.4CPM and 54.5CPM (per minute average).
Compared to last year its a bit higher ----- last year 36.1CPM ----- this year 54.5CPM : here is last years measurement http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4yI3lesV6o

Full website post with links you can use to monitor the severe weather outbreak directly:
Several states either are currently under the beginning of this storm outbreak , or will be at some point over the next day (or two at the most)... Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, W. Virginia, Virginia, South Carolina, and North Carolina...
At some point over the next two days -- I think all the states--- in the Southwest, South, Midwest, Southeast, Mid-atlantic, and maybe even east coast --- will see some portion of severe weather off this coming system .
So far, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri, Oklahoma, New Mexico into Texas --- all have received damaging winds, or hail (or both) associated with this storm. All the aforementioned received high frequency flashes on April 22nd 2012 (linked at the above website post).

4/23/2012 -- UPDATE -- Quadri-Polar sun = last occurred 300 years ago (per Japanese)

Here is the updated website post .. with the links and screenshots of the most recent Japanese release:
http://sincedutch.wordpress.com/2012/04/23/4232012-update-on-quadri-polar-sun...
In mid-May 2012 (next month) we will see the suns negative pole turn positive... while the current positive pole STAYS positive..... thus making TWO positive poles on the sun ----- and subsequently, two south poles to match these spots somewhere on the surface of the star.
Normally, this happens every 11 years... this year.. its happening on year 10.. a year early. The last similar occurrence was approx. 300 years ago (per the Japanese).
This is the new major quote that should be noted (as compared to the previous Japan story from the 19th)
quote: "When a similar phenomenon occurred about 300 years ago, the Earth's average temperature fell slightly."

I believe a ground based station , using a HAARP type technology (i.e. a ground based station that emits a HF frequency to induce an effect in the atmosphere or higher).... possibly even a tweaking of the current RADAR system itself .. is being used to emit VHF or EHF .. could conversely POSSIBLY produce VLF (very low frequency) or relay very low frequency on using the tiltable AIM method.. to "heat" the atmosphere above each station .. to create an "artificial ionospheric mirror = AIM" .. IN THE ATMOSPHERE !
I believe this heating to be INDUCING or ACCENTING current coming systems, and may even DRAW the storm to each station that emits a series of strong "pulse" returns.
These "geometric modulations" are done to increase the amplitude of the waveform being emitted. Whatever that waveform is.. its showing as a quick flash into the high RF.. and as the flash intensity increases .. so does its geometric modulation appearance on the screen.
The pie-shape is explained using the Fourier heat dissipation analysis. The square , rectangle, sawtooth, and circle sweeps are explained in the stanford VLF geometric modulation papers.

Polar Field Reversal as observed with Hinode
19 April 2012
Naional Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ/NINS)
RIKEN
Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency(JAXA)
National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)
Science and Technology Facilities Council(STFC)
European Space Agency(ESA)
The polarity of the extended uni-polar magnetic field in the solar polar region is known to reverse every 11 years, and the reversal occurs at around the maximum of solar activity, which is expected to take place at around 2013 May (NOAA ).
High latitude magnetic fields have been observed with solar telescopes on the ground. However, actual process of the polar field reversal is poorly understood because of the difficulty of the observations on the extreme limb combined with atmospheric seeing effect. The solar optical telescope aboard the Hinode satellite allows us for the first time to perform extremely high-quality observations of the deep polar region of the Sun (Figure A). The initial discoveries include that there are many magnetic patches with intense magnetic field in the polar regions. Their field strength is close to that of sunspots, and their size is as large as small sunspots called pore.
The international research team led by Saku Tsuneta, a professor at NAOJ, has been performing the monthly polar observations with Hinode from September 2008. We here report the discovery that the average magnetic flux of the north polar region is rapidly and steadily decreasing during the period of 2008 and 2012 (Figure B). The reversal (from minus to plus polarity) is taking place in sequence from lower latitude to higher latitude. The average magnetic flux of the polar region soon becomes zero. The estimated completion of the reversal of the north polar region will take place in 1 months or so, about one year earlier than the nominal expected reversal time.
In striking contrast to the north polar situation, the magnetic flux of the south polar region has been very stable, and maintains the plus polarity (Figure C). These latest Hinode observations suggest that the global magnetic field of the Sun will become different from the normal bipolar configuration.
Observations of the polar magnetic fields are the key for understanding the cyclic solar dynamo. Their results will shed light on the origin of the solar magnetism, and will contribute to our understating on the Sun's effect to the solar-terrestrial environment.
