October 23, 2009 - The Obama administration has been urging countries like China to rely less on exports and more on domestic consumption for future growth, warning the United States is no longer in a position to be the world's consumer and must save more.

APEC has 21 member economies: Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United States and Vietnam....
