Detainees Face Severe Conditions if Moved to U.S. 04 Oct 2009 The Justice Department has begun to hint in court filings that at least some of the defendants in the Sept. 11, 2001, case, as well as other prominent suspects, will be transferred to federal custody in the United States. ...Little attention has been paid to the conditions that high-value detainees would face in the United States. And those conditions, it turns out, would be vastly more draconian than they are at Guantanamo Bay. They will have little or no human contact except with prison officials. And the International Committee of the Red Cross, the only outside group with access to Camp 7, will no longer have contact with them.

US military indoctrinating Pakistani officers 04 Oct 2009 The United States has reportedly established a secret military training camp just a few kilometres away from Islamabad. According to The Nation, the base is situated in the heart of an industrial estate and is being used to recruit retired Pakistani military officers to work for the US military. The high-walled structure bears signs which suggest it is an auto repair shop. Military-style barbed wire is fixed to fences around the building and a watchtower can be seen from certain vantage points.

Terrorists could seize nuclear weapons if we fail in Afghanistan, warns Army chief 04 Oct 2009 The new head of the British Army has given a stark warning to the public of the 'terrifying prospect' of losing the war in Afghanistan. General Sir David Richards intervened by saying that if Britain and Nato failed in Afghanistan the risks to the western world would be 'enormous' and 'unimaginable', with the possibility of terrorists seizing nuclear weapons. Speaking to the Sunday Telegraph, the Chief of the General Staff said: 'If al-Qaeda and the Taliban believe they have defeated us – what next?'

Over a period of less than a month last year, Afghan policemen twice attacked American soldiers in the east. [US strategy in Afghanistan revealed: Pay Blackwater/Xe to train and equip Afghan troops who then fire on US soldiers. That way, a surge is 'needed' to stop the 'insurgency.' --LRP]

The Obusha AfPak Money Pit: Unlike the 'public option,' Congress doesn't ask if funding the Taleban to blow up contractors' bridges will add to the US deficit By Lori Price, www.legitgov.org 03 Oct 2009 Ever wonder WHY (besides protecting gas and opium pipelines) the US is *still* in Afghanistan? Ever ponder WHY US taxpayers are funding infrastructure programs in *Afghanistan,* instead of in the US? Today, this tidbit: Arrest Warrant Out for USAID Contractor in Afghanistan --A federal arrest warrant was quietly issued last month for a former official employed by the major US government reconstruction contractor here in Afghanistan, in a case that underscores the lure of potential contract fraud in Afghanistan. Scott "Max" Anthony Walker was a "security coordinator" for the $1.4 billion infrastructure program commissioned by US Agency for International Development and funded by US taxpayers.

Feds look for soldiers likely exposed by KBR to toxic chemical in Iraq 03 Oct 2009 More than 1,100 soldiers, including members of the West Virginia National Guard were likely exposed to a highly toxic chemical [sodium dichromate] in southern Iraq in 2003, according to information provided to U.S. Sen. Robert C. Byrd by the U.S. Defense Department... In June, Russell Powell [a onetime member of the 82nd Airborne Division] and six other members of the West Virginia National Guard unit filed a lawsuit in the state's Northern District, alleging that KBR, a former Halliburton subsidiary that was awarded billions of dollars' worth of no-bid contracts to rebuild Iraq, negligently exposed them to the chemical.

E. Coli Path Shows Flaws in Ground Beef Inspection 04 Oct 2009 Ground beef is usually not simply a chunk of meat run through a grinder. Instead, records and interviews show, a single portion of hamburger meat is often an amalgam of various grades of meat from different parts of cows and even from different slaughterhouses. These cuts of meat are particularly vulnerable to E. coli contamination, food experts and officials say. Despite this, there is no federal requirement for grinders to test their ingredients for the pathogen. The [E.coli-tainted] frozen hamburgers that the Smiths ate, which were made by the food giant Cargill, were labeled "American Chef’s Selection Angus Beef Patties." Yet confidential grinding logs and other Cargill records show that the hamburgers were made from a mix of slaughterhouse trimmings and a mash-like product derived from scraps that were ground together at a plant in Wisconsin. The ingredients came from slaughterhouses in Nebraska, Texas and Uruguay, and from a South Dakota company that processes fatty trimmings and treats them with ammonia to kill bacteria. [Similar US corporaterrorists are behind the production of the swine flu vaccine (not to mention, the pandemic itself). Moreover, Barack Obama gave immunity -- on a Friday evening in the middle of July, when *no one* was paying attention -- to both the government and the pharmaterrorists manufacturing this deadly vaccine. You'd have to be *out of your mind* to get their injections. It's tantamount to going on a date with a serial killer. --LRP]

Discrimination by Insurers Likely Even With Reform, Experts Say --To avoid patients with costly, complicated medical conditions, health plans could include in their networks relatively few doctors who specialize in treating those conditions. 04 Oct 2009 Any health-care overhaul that Congress and President Obama enact is likely to have as its centerpiece a fundamental reform: Insurers would not be allowed to reject individuals or charge them higher premiums based on their medical history. But simply banning medical discrimination would not necessarily remove it from the equation, economists and health-care analysts say.

Previous lead stories: Lockerbie papers say US secretly paid witness --Scottish detectives discussed secret payments of up to $3m made to witness and his brother, documents claim 02 Oct 2009 Two key figures in the conviction of the Lockerbie bomber were secretly given rewards of up to $3m (£1.9m) in a deal discussed by Scottish detectives and the US government, according to legal papers released today. The claims about the payments were revealed in a dossier of evidence that was intended to be used in an appeal by Abdelbaset al-Megrahi, the Libyan convicted of murdering 270 people in the bombing of Pan Am flight 103 in 1988. The documents published online by Megrahi's lawyers today show that the US Department of Justice (DoJ) was asked to pay $2m to Tony Gauci, the Maltese shopkeeper who gave crucial evidence at the trial suggesting that Megrahi had bought clothes later used in the suitcase that allegedly held the Lockerbie bomb. The DoJ was also asked to pay a further $1m to his brother, Paul Gauci, who did not give evidence but played a major role in identifying the clothing and in "maintaining the resolve of his brother".

LA Times | Illegal Chinese immigrants can be big money for smugglers - At least 261 have been arrested this year trying to cross near Tucson

October 5, 2009 - Mexicans typically must pay smugglers about $1,500 for help in making the trek across a sun-seared landscape that is as dangerous as it is majestic. The fees for Central Americans and South Americans often reach $6,000. A group of bewildered Haitians, intercepted a few years ago in Tucson after three nights spent hiking in circles in a canyon, had coughed up $10,000; another $10,000 was to have been paid upon arrival in the Chicago area.

The Chinese, who come almost exclusively from Fujian province, pay the most. They often have to work off fees of between $30,000 and $70,000 over the course of several years as indentured servants in the sweat shops and kitchens of New York and other cities....

Republic of Lakota | Blood on the Maple Leaf - Recent killings linked to Canadian Nickel Mine in Guatemala - 2 Qeqchi Leaders Killed & dozen+ wounded

October 4, 2009
RECENT KILLINGS LINKED TO CANADIAN-OWNED NICKEL MINE IN GUATEMALA

Written by Dawn Paley
Source: The Dominion

Two Qeqchi leaders were shot and killed and over a dozen wounded this week near the site of a shuttered nickel mine in Guatemala.

The first shooting took place on Sunday, September 27 on land claimed by the community of Las Nubes, which Compañia Guatemalteca de Niquel (CGN), a subsidiary of Manitoba’s HudBay Minerals, also claims to own.

Early reports indicated CGN’s private security guards opened fire while attempting to remove families from their land. Adolfo Ichi Chamán, a teacher and community leader, was killed by gunshot, at least eight more wounded by bullets fired from an AK-47.

Prensa Libre, Guatemala’s leading newspaper, reported that during Chamán’s funeral service yesterday, thousands of people marched through the streets of El Estor, demanding that the company and the local police chief withdraw from the area within 24 hours.

HudBay released a lengthy statement yesterday claiming that there were no evictions, but instead that “protestors” went on a rampage, attacking government vehicles, a local police station (where they allegedly stole automatic weapons), destroying a hospital built by a coalition of US NGOs, and wounding five employees.

Hudbay goes on to make the absurd claim that the protesters proceeded to open fire on each other.

Liezel Hill of Mining Weekly went on to parrot the company’s version of events, as did the Canadian Press and Reuters.

One day after the murder of Chamán, men armed with machine guns opened fire on a mini-bus carrying Indigenous educators and leaders from the El Estor region to Cobán. One man, Martin Choc, was killed, and at least nine more wounded.

These killings are a flare up in a tense area, where the track record of Canadian mining companies includes forced displacement over multiple generations, co-operation with the army, and the burning of homes belonging to Indigenous people.

Shortly after a series of violent evictions that took place on nearby lands in 2007, Skye Resources (later acquired by Hudbay) representatives went on the record and lied through their teeth to defend their actions.

The English-language corporate media has repeatedly turned a blind eye to recent and past events unfolding in El Estor. This kind of reporting facilitates corporate lies and deceit, plain and simple.

Lies and deceit are just what HudBay needs, not only to avoid an international outcry over the recent killings, but also to spin a mining project that is not likely to produce any nickel at all.

A close-up of the document reveals he was previously known as Sabourjian – a Jewish name meaning cloth weaver.

The short note scrawled on the card suggests his family changed its name to Ahmadinejad when they converted to embrace Islam after his birth.

The Sabourjians traditionally hail from Aradan, Mr Ahmadinejad's birthplace, and the name derives from "weaver of the Sabour", the name for the Jewish Tallit shawl in Persia. The name is even on the list of reserved names for Iranian Jews compiled by Iran's Ministry of the Interior.

Experts last night suggested Mr Ahmadinejad's track record for hate-filled attacks on Jews could be an overcompensation to hide his past.

Ali Nourizadeh, of the Centre for Arab and Iranian Studies, said: "This aspect of Mr Ahmadinejad's background explains a lot about him.

"Every family that converts into a different religion takes a new identity by condemning their old faith.

"By making anti-Israeli statements he is trying to shed any suspicions about his Jewish connections. He feels vulnerable in a radical Shia society."

A London-based expert on Iranian Jewry said that "jian" ending to the name specifically showed the family had been practising Jews.

"He has changed his name for religious reasons, or at least his parents had," said the Iranian-born Jew living in London. "Sabourjian is well known Jewish name in Iran."

A spokesman for the Israeli embassy in London said it would not be drawn on Mr Ahmadinejad's background. "It's not something we'd talk about," said Ron Gidor, a spokesman.

The Iranian leader has not denied his name was changed when his family moved to Tehran in the 1950s. But he has never revealed what it was change from or directly addressed the reason for the switch.

Relatives have previously said a mixture of religious reasons and economic pressures forced his blacksmith father Ahmad to change when Mr Ahmadinejad was aged four. FULL STORY

Nation.com Bangladesh's Independent News | Tipaimukh Dam is a water bomb

A strong earthquake, measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale and of long duration, was the fifth in a row in last 40 days, which hit northeastern India on Sept 22, 2009. Located in foothills of Himalaya, northeastern India is bracketed in the highest seismic zone of South Asia, where the three Eurasian, Indian, and Myanmar tectonic plates collide in a subduction mechanism. With this unique tectonic setting and coupled with massive geo-tectonic movements recorded during the past several years, geo-scientists have placed this region in the most fragile zone in the seismic map of the continent. Northeastern India has experienced some of the most devastating earthquakes during the past hundred years. Statistics shows that between 1897 and 1952, there were 44 earthquakes that measured 6.5 or more on the Richter scale. Similarly, between 1953 and 1992, the region had 21 earthquakes of similar intensity.

Ignoring the geological and seismic vulnerability and recent warning of the rapid melting of the Himalayas, India is going for a 162.8 meters high Dam on the Barak River of northeastern India, with a storage capacity of 15,900 million cubic meters. Besides this seismic vulnerability with its hidden dangers of a massive disaster dam, it has also sparked another serious controversy on water sharing between India and Bangladesh in relation to the Farakka Barrage conflict. India is taking advantages of its regional hegemony and geo-position as upper riparian, causing colossal damage to the agro-economy of Bangladesh by unilateral and disproportionate diversion of the Ganges's water by the barrage. The case of Tipaimukh dam is, however, different from Farakka Barrage, as it would have a huge storage reservoir. FULL STORY

Zeta Talk Weekly Newsletter - October 4, 2009

During Katrina, the Zetas warned that this was a type of preview of the disasters that would happen during the last weeks and the hour of the pole shift. Multiple impacts, and no rescue.

ZetaTalk Warning 9/2/2005: We have described from the start of ZetaTalk a situation where the coastlines and river basins will be massively flooded during the pole shift, to the extent that coastal cities are flooded with a flood tide that just keeps rising, putting homes and the lower levels of buildings under water. All this seems fantasia to many, despite the physical evidence that such flood tides have happened in the past. Where New Orleans flooded because it was below the current sea level, and where the flooding of the city is not to the extent we have described for the pole shift, it nonetheless is an example of how water and wind can wreck a city and make all the former residents homeless, in a wink. Add to the mess in New Orleans the fact of tall buildings toppled by earthquakes, and people trapped in earthquake rubble, and you have the picture of what is to come.

We have described from the start of ZetaTalk a situation where the grid, electrical power and phone lines, will be almost completely disrupted, water and gas mains ruptured, with no hope of repair, the result of an assault by earthquakes, water wash during flooding, and hurricane force winds. Many sitting comfortably in their homes dismiss such a possibility, as surely the modern technology they have come to enjoy will be able to quickly repair itself, as is this not the case after an ice storm or earthquake now? Where the disruption in New Orleans is due to flooding and winds, without the addition of quake damage, the total interruption of services for those trapped in New Orleans is certainly evident - pumps down, gas line breaks, water fouled, and no electricity.

A couple incidences recently painted the same picture -a preview of the last weeks. One incident is the flooding in Georgia, a state which was so afflicted by drought in past years that the fear was that Lake Allatoona, the source of drinking water for Atlanta, was going dry. A week ago the region was afflicted with 18 inches of rain, pushing creeks and rivers over roadways and washing away bridges.

Creeks Turn Into Surging Rivers In Southeast US
September 22, 2009
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090922/ap_on_re_us/us_heavy_rain_southeast
Neighborhoods, schools and even roller coasters at Six Flags over Georgia remained awash in several feet of murky, brown water, even as an emerging sun shed light on the widespread flood damage. The onslaught left many parts of the region in stagnant water.

Flooding is nothing new in today's world, where torrential rain is on the increase. Turkey, Brazil, West Africa, and Indonesia have been beset with floods from torrential rains just this past month. It is not the degree of flooding in Georgia but the reaction of one woman which caught my eye. She eloquently describes the realization that this is just a preview of what is to come, and in her personal life, she feels a sense of urgency.

I think that I have just had a practice for Armageddon. I live in Acworth GA. This past Monday all hell broke loose. I had an uneasy feeling all Sunday night. My husband did as well. Little did we know all of the creeks and rivers were flooding. We soon found out that we could not get out of our subdivision because the road was eight feet under water. We live on top of the mountain but the people on the streets behind us in the valley houses and trailers were flooded. We lost power, cable and Internet. I just got my services back on an hour ago. I can say about our community everybody came together to help one another. They shared food and the people who did not have a house anymore were able to bunk with a neighbor. I feel better to know that everybody can rise to the occasion if called upon.

The fire department evacuated the elderly with problems and anyone else that wanted to leave by boat. We opted to stay and so did a lot of people mainly the younger couples because we had no where to go. Our cars were stuck on the properties. On Monday night I was starting to regret that I stayed. It was pitch black, dead silent, and hot. We personally had a generator but we were trying to conserve gas, because we did not know when we would be able to get any more gas. Around 3:41 am it started to rain again. I thought, why is it still raining? It had already rained for 7 days straight already and I mean heavy water just falling out of the sky rain. Ice cold fear struck every bone in my body. I knew that I was up high but look how fast the water rose in a couple of hours. On Tuesday morning when we got up, all I heard was water all around me. We had waterfalls that I did not know existed. I could see that the farm across from the creek and below me was engulfed in water.

I guess that I will have to step it up a notch to memorize and learn as much survival information that I can, because I will not have access to the internet, TV and or maybe phone. Even though I feel like I just visited Armageddon I still was somewhat prepared although not ready. I was caught by surprise. I have a home garden; I have spent this whole summer learning how to grow food. I might add that this is out of character for me. I do not like getting dirty or looking at and touching bugs! But ever since I encountered that UFO and found your web site I have been acting out of character for my normal personality. But I think that my time spent might just pay off in the future. I have also researched how to purify water. I have looked into basic survival skills. We watch the Survivor man series. I have also been obsessive about the geology of Georgia. I have been trying to figure out if I am in the right spot. I do not want to be flooded but I do not want to be thirsty either.

Per the Zetas, as with Katrina, this is just a preview. Add quakes to the mix, and hurricane force winds to get full sound and color!

ZetaTalk Comment 9/26/2009: We stated in 1995 that the world would experience more drought and deluge, switching about for seemingly no reason. We knew that the Earth wobble would ensue when Planet X arrived in the vicinity, which it did. Georgia was suffering recently from drought so intractable that it was feared that Atlanta might run out of drinking water. Now they are drowning. Just what we predicted, and not the last of such incidences to beset mankind.

The second incident which brought to mind the last weeks was the red dust storm afflicting Sydney, Australia. Though caused by winds and drought, picking up dust from the outback, it turned the city red. Dramatic photos show how surreal the scene was.

Sydney Turns Red: Dust Storm Blankets City
September 23, 2009
http://www.smh.com.au/environment/sydney-turns-red-dust-storm-blankets-city-20090923-g0so.html
Sydneysiders have woken to a red haze unlike anything seen before by residents or weather experts, as the sun struggles to pierce a thick blanket of dust cloaking the city. The fiery haze was the result of the sun hitting the blanket of dust. The lifted dust had been carried by the winds into Sydney.

Per the Zetas, the red dust, which tested positive for iron oxide, was originally from the tail of Planet X. As with the red clay soil in Alabama and Georgia, the outback of Australia is holding red dust from the tail of Planet X, deposited during prior passages. In this regard, the dust storm afflicting Sydney was indeed a preview of what might occur during the last weeks!

ZetaTalk Comment 9/26/2009: The red outback in Australia, as with the states of Georgia and Alabama in the US, have red clay soil due to having been dusted in the past with iron oxide dust from the tail of Planet X. originally, this dust came from the tail of Planet X. But the onslaught hitting Sydney is merely from the desert in the outback, which has suffered under severe drought and lately, high winds. However, these pictures can give an example of what the Earth will experience during the last weeks.

Russia Disclosure

From Russia with love! The Russians have always been relatively open about disclosure about the alien presence, allowing their generals to comment to the press and the like. For those looking for a gradual break in the cover-up over the presence of Planet X in the inner solar system, the Russians may again be taking the lead. Recently, the theory of the passage was presented on TV in Russia.

IMAGE: Planet X Orbit
IMAGE: Sitchin's Book

Youry, a Russian, explains what was covered during the broadcast. Sitchin's theories were covered by the broadcast, but the broadcast contradicts what Sitchin currently predicts for the return of Nibiru, aka Planet X. Sitchin has the return decades or more into the future, but the broadcast predicts sightings of Planet X in 2011. It indeed seems to be a good start on disclosure about Planet X!

They are talking about Sitchin's theories, but the main message is the global disaster which will kill 2/3 of humanity. And they talk about the reason of this disaster - Planet X. They talk about 2012 and Mayan calendar, and about visibility of Nibiru in 2011. I know that most of given information is not correct, but I think it doesn't really mater. There is nothing terrible in this not very correct information because people, who knew nothing about future pole shift received information: "something will happen". It's better then nothing. People, who accepted this information will find out the really truth (like me when I heard first time about existence of Nibiru 3 month ago). Government just gave a first kick, but the goal must be made by people. It's very "soft" information which will not arouse panic. It's like a first contact which can't be remembered by mind but recorded in subconscious not to arouse panic. I'm happy that our government confirmed existence of Planet-X realizing this news. And I really sad, because US Government still says that there is no Planet-X coming to us.

New Zealand View

This video taken in Papakura, New Zealand, shows the Second Sun to the left of the Sun at sunset. A flare, which moves about during the videotaping, can also be seen, but the Second Sun remains steady. The video was obviously taken outdoors, so there is no possibility of a Sun reflection on a window glass.

VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QO7TuQVvcgM

IMAGE: New Zealand Capture

Second Sun sightings, and video capture, continue, the subject going viral on the Internet ever since the Black Sea video was released last April, 2009. There is a lot of Second Sun confusion. Different aspects of the Planet X complex can display, as detailed in the August 30, 2009 newsletter. A Monster Sun can appear when a double reflection occurs or a Moon Swirl can causes a bright orb next to the Sun. Sun pillars, which are light pillars just above the Sun, create another source of confusion.

IMAGE: Phoenix Sun Pillar

Question: I just returned to Phoenix in the past couple days and was surprised by the sunset. There was a giant Second Sun! I felt like I was in Stars Wars or on another planet, it was crazy seeing our sun set like a little tiny moon and having a giant Second Sun above it.

ZetaTalk Answer 6/7/2008: This is not the Second Sun, which would be appearing off to the right of the Sun along the ecliptic. This is rather what is called a Sun pillar effect, light shining up from the Sun out of proportion to the light going in other directions.

Another point of confusion is the differing view in the northern and southern hemispheres. Planet X, and consequently the Second Sun phenomena, is seen to the right of the Sun in the northern hemisphere, but this is reversed for the southern hemisphere because of the way the Ecliptic slopes. This whole concept of the Ecliptic view is confusing to the average person.

IMAGE: Ecliptic Slope

Question: Zetas, you have stated that Planet X is to the right of the Sun, and sets before the Sun, yet rises after the Sun, and to the right of the Sun, correct? I don't understand how this is possible? Let us say that a person is witnessing the Sun set while on the equator. At the same moment, on the other side of the Earth, yet still on the equator, someone is watching the Sun rise. Is Planet X below the horizon for both observers? Is Planet X to the right of the Sun for both observers?

ZetaTalk Answer 5/16/2009: You are obviously asking these questions from the standpoint of someone not familiar with where the Ecliptic is during the day in your view. Get a simply planetarium program such as Skymap, and type in various times during the day, and see where the Sun is in relationship to the angle of the Ecliptic and nearby planets as the day progresses. If an object is to the right of the Sun on sunrise, along the Ecliptic, then this relationship holds throughout the day and into sunset. Don't take our word for it, get educated! Which is what you should have done before posing this question in the chat. The Ecliptic appears on a slant, both at sunrise and sunset. Thus which sun rises before the other or sets before the other is determined by the slant.

The Second Sun in New Zealand was viewed to the left of the Sun, but when the Second Sun is viewed from the northern hemisphere, it appears on the right hand side of the Sun, as in this view from Alberta, Canada.

IMAGE: Alberta Second Sun

Question: I was out early this morning, April 16, 2009 to pick up the papers from the press. When leaving it was about 7:05 in the morning and I viewed the sun like it had another separate mass (round and wide) above it. The two round Suns were not separated by a distance cloud mass. It is in the East in Leduc near the International Airport. Canada. Province of Alberta. Sent from my BlackBerry device on the Rogers Wireless Network

ZetaTalk Answer 4/18/2009: In this view of the Second Sun, captured on film in Alberta, the Second Sun was slightly to the right of the Sun, and slightly below the Sun, closely situated.
