SOLAR UPDATE - SATURDAY AUGUST 27, 2011 AT 2:30 PM CDT


SolarCycle21.com | Big Sunspot 1271 which has been making its trip accross the northern hemisphere during the past couple of weeks, is now rotating onto the western limb and will soon be out of direct earth view. Despite being a large and impressive region at times, it did not produce any major flare activity.All other sunspot regions are not magnetically complex at this time. The chances for strong solar flares will be low. A new Sunspot will soon rotate into view on the southeast limb.
