South Dakota has one of the largest populations of Native Americans on reservations particularly a Tribe called the Lakota . They have the highest rate of poverty in the world despite aid from the government, which has never been sufficient. Children are committing suicide at an alarming rate, one of the highest percentages of suicide in the world, next to Japan. Lakota people live on less than 7 dollars a day.
