Oct. 4 2009 (UPI) -- No damage was reported Sunday from a 6.6-magnitude earthquake in the Moro Gulf off Mindanao in the Philippines, authorities said.
There was no "destructive tsunami threat" from the tremor, which hit shortly before 7 p.m., local time, in the Philippines, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said.
The epicenter was located about 62 miles west southwest of Cotabato City at a depth of 390 miles, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
