SANTIAGO - March 11, 2010 - Conservative billionaire Sebastian Pinera took office as Chile's president Thursday, tasked with rebuilding the country after a massive earthquake killed hundreds of people just 12 days ago.
Minutes before he was sworn in, a series of strong aftershocks rattled the capital Santiago and Congress in the coastal city of Valparaiso. Visiting dignitaries looked nervously at the ceiling as the Congress building shuddered, and Chile's Navy issued a tsunami warning along the coast ....
