Himalaya Intl receives `letter of interest` from US EXIM Bank
US EXIM Bank has issued `letter of interest` for lending USD 8.5 million to Himalaya International at concessional rate of 4.37% per annum.
The amount shall be utilized by Himalaya International for its Rs 1.2 billion plant for almond processing and frozen and freeze dried berries near Delhi in Rajasthan.
The company has already acquired 32 acres land for the purpose at NH 8, 120 kms away from Delhi. Almonds, frozen and freeze dried berry fruits shall be imported from California US, and shall be processed and value added for domestic Indian market and for exports to gulf countries and south Asian countries.
Shares of the company gained Rs 3.45, or 12.97%, to trade at Rs 30.05. The total volume of shares traded was 489,563.00 at the BSE (12.08 p.m., Monday).
