Many of us have plans that are set aside in case of disaster, such as a fire or flood, etc. According to a study done by the American Kennel Club (AKC) only 61% of people in the US include their pet in their emergency plans. And while 91% of people say that they will take their pet with them if they have to evacuate, there are countless examples of pets being left behind for whatever reason. As a pet owner, you are responsible for your pet despite emergency situations.
