THE Queen has angrily attacked Gordon Brown over his handling of the war in Afghanistan, it was claimed yesterday.
Her Majesty reportedly told the Prime Minister of her concerns over shortages of equipment for troops fighting on the frontline.
Prince Philip and Prince Charles have also contacted Mr Brown about the lack of support for British forces. The claims come amid mounting criticism of the Government’s handling of the war.
The latest revelations are particularly damaging as the Queen, whose grandson Prince Harry spent 10 weeks fighting in Helmand Province, is head of the Armed Forces.
Respected historian Andrew Roberts said he had learned of the Queen’s anger through a member of the Royal Family, a serving general and a recent Cabinet minister.
