WASHINGTON, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- U.S. President Barack Obama's job approval rating among white Democrats has fallen by 11 points since his 100th day in office, a public opinion poll indicated.

The Pew Research Center for People and the Press found Obama's job approval rating dropped by 9 points among white independents and whites over 50 and by 12 points among white women, the Los Angeles Times reported Monday.

SEOUL, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- South Korea, not satisfied with North Korea's explanation of a dam discharge that may have swept away six people, Tuesday sought an apology, an official said.
