Xinhua | Senior military officials of China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) said they would enhance relations between the two

BEIJING, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- Senior military officials of China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) said they would enhance relations between the two armed forces here on Wednesday.

China and the DPRK enjoyed the traditional friendship and the two armies have kept indepth exchanges, said Xu Caihou, Vice Chairman of China's Central Military Commission, when meeting with Kim Jong Gak, member of the DPRK National Defense Commission.

Xu said that to improve strategic communication between the two armies served mutual interests and would contribute to regional peace and stability.

Kim said the traditional friendship was a "common treasure" to the two peoples. The DPRK hoped to improve military ties and cooperation with China, he said.
