A strong solar flare reaching M5.3 was just detected around Sunspot 1515 at 09:55 UTC Wednesday morning.
Solar activity continues at moderate to high levels on Wednesday with an M5.3 Solar Flare at 09:55 UTC followed by an M2.3 at 12:24. The first solar flare did produce a bright Coronal Mass Ejection, however once again it appears to be headed mostly to the south. The attached image below is by STEREO Ahead COR2.
