Strong Solar Flare + CME
Solar activity continues at moderate to high levels on Wednesday with an M5.3 Solar Flare at 09:55 UTC followed by an M2.3 at 12:24. The first solar flare did produce a bright Coronal Mass Ejection, however once again it appears to be headed mostly to the south. The image below is by STEREO Ahead COR2.
Sunspot 1515 was putting on some 4th of July fireworks this morning. This video by SDO captures a strong M5.3 Solar Flare around Sunspot 1515. A Coronal Mass Ejection was produced, but again appears to be directed South.
